Pants Mambati

Mambati (Assamese) - candle

For these pants we use one of our thicker eri silk fabrics to give it strength and structure. The pants are hand-spun and hand-woven by our team in Assam and sewn in a small studio in South Delhi. The silk is called eri silk and cultivated by Assamese tribal communities South West of Guwahati. It is a wild silk and the moth leaves a hole in the cocoon as it has to be empty before it can be processed. Therefore it has a structure which is rather similar to linen. No chemicals or pesticides have been used during the process.
The pants have a tailored fit and are available in 4 sizes: S, M, L, XL.  The pants feature a back pocket and two front pockets. The finishing is entirely with French seams as well as blind stitch. At the front it can be closed with a shell button. They can be worn with a crease or without.
So comfortable, classic and made for every body type.
